Cracker Pizzas
The crust has a tang.
Recipe Summary Cracker Pizzas
My family has enjoyed cracker pizzas for years. They're very easy and equally delicious! This is a great recipe for kids.
Ingredients | Neapolitan Pizza Recipe Serious Eats20 saltine crackers1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste10 (4 ounce) links sausage (such as Eckrich® Smok-y Breakfast Sausage)5 slices American cheeseDirectionsSet oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler.Lay crackers salt side down on a baking sheet. Spread tomato paste on top.Microwave sausages in a microwave-safe plate until heated through, about 1 minute. Slice in half lengthwise, making sure not to cut all the way through. Place sliced side-down onto the crackers. Quarter each slice of cheese and lay over the sausage.Broil until the cheese is melted, 2 to 5 minutes. The cheese is optional and replaceable. My family always used American due to it always being in the fridge. Substitute the paste for pizza sauce, the crackers for whole wheat or low sodium, or the sausage for pepperoni. They're your pizzas, so make them how you want!Info | Neapolitan Pizza Recipe Serious Eatsprep: 15 mins cook: 2 mins total: 17 mins Servings: 10 Yield: 1 baking sheet
